  • About this Journal:
  • CIJ is an interdisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed journal seeking to advance both theoretical and practical understanding on how to turn new knowledge into use for society. Based at IdeaSquare, the innovation space at CERN, home to a variety of innovation programmes and events, CIJ is uniquely positioned to collect and test new innovation knowledge. IdeaSquare activities are a reference point to research published in CIJ, for example, as a comparative research setting or an open data depository.Interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal focused on experimentation-driven innovation research.
  • The journal publishes short, original articles that quickly communicate the latest insights about innovation processes across domains ranging from idea creation to end-user, business-to-business, innovation methodologies, tools, educational approaches, knowledge exchange, management, policy, to other topical areas across different contexts e.g., projects, start-ups, small-medium enterprises, large multinational, or governmental agencies.Publishes both empirical and theoretical work aimed at understanding how new knowledge translates into societal impact through innovation.
  • Operated under IdeaSquare at CERN, leveraging its innovation programmes as a reference setting for comparative research and open data.
  • No article processing charges; authors retain copyright.
  • Uses double-blind peer review with the goal of providing editorial decisions by the end of the second review round.
